I attended Aldine Senior High School in Houston, TX. I earned my high school diploma in 1988.
I attended college at the University of Phoenix online. I earned an Associate’s Degree in 2010 and a Bachelor’s Degree in 2012.
I attended an Altrnative Teacher Certification Program through Region 6 Education Service Center in Huntsville, TX. I earned my Standard Teaching Certificate in 2013.
I hold an Associate of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication.
I am currently certified as a generalist to teach EC-8th grade, as well as Special Education for those grade levels.
I am also certified to teach students identified as Gifted and Talented.
I have attended various professional development courses and workshops covering such topics as classroom management and technology for classrooms, as well as Reading and Math programs for students.
I began teaching at Livingston Intermediate School beginning with the 2014-2015 school year. I am now in my third year at the intermediate school and with Livingston ISD. I taught fifth grade math for the first two years, but am currently teaching fifth grade science.
I started teaching in Trinity, TX at Lansberry Elementary School beginning with the 2013-2014 school year. I taught fourth grade math and science as my first assignment. Prior to teaching, I had over 20 years experience in management and customer service. I believe my communication skills have definitely had an impact on my ability teach. I am also a father of two, so I have personal experience with children. I have volunteered with my wife at church in the nursery, worked with the youth group, coached little league, and served as a Boyscout leader for 14 years.
